Explanation:

The path of point P is a coupler curve of the four-bar linkage A0ABB0, such that a part approximates a straight line. To pass this part with constant speed, a double crank mechanisms D0DEA0 has been placed in series with the four-bar. This mechanism is typically suited for use in a continuously moving production machine, when during the escort of the product a contact force is required. In the egg-box application point P escorts the egg-box, while the cover is closed. Point P holds down the box during a critical phase in the folding operation, preventing that the egg-box will be lifted off the production belt.

Remarks:The double crank mechanism of the model has been assembled wrong! (red and blue link should be mounted like in the pictures).
